In one of my first few matches online, I was playing with a couple buddies at a map I did not know. My team other than one player had died, while the other team still had 3 players. My teammate was able to run the clock al the way down to zero. We were expecting it to be draw, and opposing team got the win. Please tell the *bleep* happened. If neither team's players completely wiped out, then it should be a draw. The previous scenario can be companied with something as dumb as saying that in a football game, if the score is tied, the first team that scored wins.... What?????

Its the new man up rule in effect, which means whatever team has most players by the end of the clock wins.

That is the dumbest thing ever. Stupidest rule ive ever heard/

I would seriously like to discuss this rule. Perosnally it seems completely and utterly, for lack of a better word, stupid. I would seriously love an explanatio to this rule. And don't give the the crap about "o so someone can't just 'run' the time out".

I don't like this new rule either.

It's ok if you're just playing with your buddies and all want to play right.
But online it's terrible.

Here's my problem with minor changes like that; they affect the game a substantial amount at a certain point and if it worked prior the change, which it did, why the need to change it?

it is this way now to avoid people stalemating because they dont want to fight. In gears 2 this wasnt really a problem because it was easy to find people but some of the maps in GoW3 are huge and have many hiding places, it is very easy to hide in GoW3. Its really just a way to get the ranked matches going faster and having a 5 minute round amount to something besides just kills and deaths.

Its one of those changes that really doesnt matter that much. If your only strategy is to run out the clock, even when its 1v3, then you lost anyway, tbh.

Actually, it does matter; it matters pretty substantially. If you were to read my previous quote, i did not want to see the typical response, which is what you have given. And, it matters in that you can run out the clock and not sacrifice yourself when you are heavily outnumbered and keep the game going, thereby giving yourself and your team a chance to extend the game. So, by my rationale this seems to be a rule that gives the opponent a far greater advantage than ever if they originally outnumbered the opponent. In no way shape or form is this contributing anything to the experience of the game, but possibly damamging the experience.

ur not rl being reasonable here. It is certainly damaging to the experience of the 4-8 people who ave to sit there and watch u tr to hide for 3 minutes because u arent even trying to kill the whole other team. And besides, your team mates all died! That has consequences in the game! If you are so concerned with this change your priorities are in the wrong place.

Lik I said: If your best plan 1v3 is to just stalemate, you should just lose. Or, go out there and kill them all and win. Man up rule saves time and frustration of the overall group.

I am not really being reasonable????... So you're saying if someone's in a situation where it's 1on5, and usually they opposing team players stick together, that your best option is to try and defeat them, even though the odds are highly improbable, or the ONLY other option is automatic defeat. Now I may literally stated what you implied, but it's exactly what you said. That in itself seems highly illogical. And the last time I checked, it may be the developers job to create a game entertaining for everyone else, but that is not the responsibility of the one who buys and plays it. The responsibility of the buyer is to make the game most enjoyable for themselves, and if that means winning by some different tactics so be it.

I rather have our last man in the field play it smart by doing hide and seek ambushes then have him go charging into a full team of enemies like an idiot. It's worth the wait if it means the enemy team can't win this round.

It's the Man-up rule son! Don't run, turn around and fight! Wow!
