Campaign Achievements Corrupt Profile

I found that the progression achievements, whenever they're supposed to unlock, temporarily corrupt my profile. I'll be playing, get to the end of a chapter (or getting an unlockable milestone), and the achievement will pop on-screen, but when I go to check it out, it will tell me that I have no achievements, no games played, no avatar selected, no gamerpicture selected, etc. I've found that this only occurs with the campaign achievements, as the multiplayer cheevies work just fine.

Also of note: when the profile does become corrupted, all that is needed is to sign out and sign back in. But, as the achievements are checkpoint-based, I'd need to start the entire chapter over to get it to work correctly. It does (for the most part) work correctly on the second try (except for 1-II; that one just won't pop for me at all), but I find this annoying because while I do intend on replaying the campaign, this is not what I imagined.

I hope to be able to provide any other necessary information for this annoying bug, that it might be fixed in the near future.


Thanks all for the lack of help. My profile is now permenantly corrupted, and I'm not sure whether or not I'm going to burn my console with Gears 3 in it.



Side note: I have noticed that it seems as if I'm the only one amongst my friends that this is happening to, as their achievements seem to be working just fine.


EDIT: Just completed the versus sampler platter cheevie and it did the same thing. Something tells me I'm never gonna be able to perfect this game...

Should I recover my gt? Should I re-install Gears 3? I could use some help here, and I know people are looking at this.

I played offline for about half hour then went online,all saves were corrupted,had a game update and in horde the same old issue,when the host leaves everyone gets dropped.
xbl are aware of issues and have requested from epic a "whats goiing on?"
Lol $10 says they dont get a response.
Ring xbl and tell them your issues with dodgy games,as everyone should,strength in numbers :) (still need that cheevo!)

Lol, yeah. Did figure out that the TU1 was the cause of the problem. All you have to do is delete and recover your profile. For some reason though, some of the achievements won't unlock even though I have completed the requirements multiple times (Versus Sampler Platter). Hopefully They fix this and I get my achievement with TU2...

just want to bump this and say im experiencing similar problems. it is currently impossible for me to unlock the 5 point secret respect the dead achievement.

everytime i do it, i unlock the achievement and it pops up on screen, then when i check in gears or on my profile i have a currupted profile with no achievements or games played. i restart my console and all is well, except i dont have the achievement. in gears it has the exclamation mark on it as if i had recently unlocked it, but it is still locked. doing the whole thing again has exactly the same results, i unlock the achievement, currupt my profile doing so, restart my xbox and dont have the achievement!

My profile was corrupted, i got no achievements. I cleared my cache, deleted my profile + save. And I was able to get all achivements fine

wow....i been experiencing this exactly. So, is there any way to fix this, I have already deleted and recovered my profile multiple times yet it doesn't fix the problem. Does this mean I have to delete my gamesaves for gears of war 3 and profile ?
