Is anyone else already getting progress towards war supporter medal?

There isn't even a event live and I'm at 9/10 now. Got the Golden Gear after 5 matches. I thought he would be harder to unlock. At this rate, I'm at Onyx in no-time. This doesn't look right to me, this is just too easy for 70 gamerscore.
My understanding of this medal was that you get one point progress for each event you participate.
Can this someone clarify for me?

There could be a mistaken event going on right now to test whether it works or not. I honestly have no idea it was doing this, and I hope they change it because this has basically rewarded people who were allowed to play the game early.

I have 0 progression for War supporter and I've been live since Saturday. There have been no events!

Interesting. The golden lancer/hammerburst for week one might be considered an event. If that were even true, I would expect only one point as well...

it is a bug in the system, it will be corrected/is corrected as of right now.

It is meant to be an event unlock and week 1 Gold Weapons was the first event.

As for the bug, right now it is unlocking an "event" after every completed match in ranked, it will be fixed.
