View Full Version : I'm just kinda nervous that something might go wrong. (i.e. server overload)

I know that things go wrong, but I have heard so many good things for this game and the hype is overwhelming. Anyone else nervous that something won't go right? I hope the servers can hold the amount of players who will be on.

Bad Company 2 had server issues for the first week it came out. I'm fully expecting some issues but at least we have P2P to fall back on.

I will be playing campaign the first few days so if the servers go down im still alright =p.

Very true. I'm looking forward to that campaign too, so there is always something else to play while they fix it :)

If it does happen, I'll probably just get used to the maps in private matches.

My main gametype is Execution with friends (outside of Wingman) and yes, I agree both are issues. But there's no reason to bring it into this thread.

didnt they say that if there are too many people on for the dedicated servers to handle that the extras will switch to the old host system?

Ok, this would be BS. The host advantage gets old real quick. Everyone should have a fair advantage in a match.

host advantage does suck. for some reason i remember reading that somewhere back during the beta. i could be wrong though

Guys relax. If the servers are down or have an issue it DOES resort to peer 2 peer matchmaking. HOWEVER, the code is different from Gears of War 2 and runs much better with little to non-noticeable host advantage.

During the beta I played many matches on P2P and while it doesn't match servers (nothing does) it was still WAY better than Gears 2. Relax. :)

Which clearly States 'Unlocked in the Beta'. Which i played all four weeks of. -__-.
