Gears of War 3 is very...Messy?

Can't explain it but Gears of War 3 is all over the place and too much is going on at once. I'm already level 38 and i have a 1.6 K/D in TDM but i honestly don't know how to adapt... I feel like you can't adapt to the new gameplay because when I play I feel like I'm just doing whatever and some people might think I'm good at the game but to be honest i have no clue what im doing to actually get positive scores. I just play and do whatever.

I don't know this game is weird to me i only posted to get it off my mind

Playing with a team definately helps and also really trying to win ranked with a team makes the game so much fun.

I think it's just you. Never felt like that when I was playing the Beta, although I was always with a crew. Maybe you should wait and post back after your friends get their copy.

Wanted to say you should slow it down and really look at whats going on go at your own flow it seems really different at first but when you really look its the same game.

Everyone is still getting use to the maps and I am sure there will be a lot of new players to the series since Gears of War 3 has a ton of hype behind it. Of course everything will be chaotic at first and it will be easier for players that played before to get positive scores against those that are playing for he first time.

Leveling will probably become harder as you start hitting the 50s so things will definitely get better when you get to that point.

This guy nailed it with the maps idea. People are just running around trying to learn layouts, killing anyone that happens to walk in front of them. After a short while when all the maps have been played numerous times, people will be able to rush to power weapons, set up etc. That's probably the cause of your thoughts, I wouldn't worry.

You sound like you're just a casual gamer playing other casual gamers and you're coming out on top... grats. Wait until you play teams or even groups of 2 to 3 players working together and watching each other's backs... you're going to go from 'this is easy I have a 1.6 k/d' to only playing quick game/social matches to make sure your k/d is above 1.0.

The multiplayer's amazing, it's fluent, fun and the hit detection is SO SO much better.

Well let's say you see someone that might be real good. But usually that person plays in a party of really good players just like himself. You might get the better of him if your casual or a decent player...but that might be because the rest of his team doesn't have the game yet.

After the 20th your going to see ALOT of stacking.

all the player names are jumbled together like wtf. thats not good at all.

and that koth counter is like flying all over the screen. trying to find the next hill is annoying.

Give it some time. Not everyone has their copy yet, so times could change. You could have said exactly the same for Gears 2, but with team-work it became better. I missed playing Gears 3, can't wait to get back onto it.

Soon people will pick up strategies and it will be as good as 2 was.

IMO, Gears 3 is nothing like Gears 2. Everything is different. Especially the perspective is different. I wish it was just Gears of War 2, everything the same, just the addition of new maps, guns and modes. Gears 2 was good, the only bad things are glitchers and hit detection. I'm sure if they never came out with a Gears 3, Gears 2 would be the best game in the history of games.

Normally, I would have scoffed, even probably near died of laughter at this comment. But I was actually in such shock that you were serious in this statement, that I did infact, nearly die. Please, for the health of the others on this forum... Retract this statement immediately.

Oh and uhh... You do realize you still have GoW2? Mind you, the only people still playing are the people who can't win without hosting in social or bridging in ranked. Or they just don't have the game yet. In any case, if you want to play a game like GoW2, nothing comes closer than GoW2.
