What counts for medals?

No idea if this has been mentioned/asked on twitter etc, but do chainsaw/bayonet charge kills count towards kills for their respective weapons?

Similarly, do weapon-specific executions count towards a kill for that weapons medal, or just as an execution?

So far from speculation, I think everything that gives you points. You can apparently level up in campaign mode, but unless your getting points it probably only goes so far.

Chainsaw and Retrostab do count toward a kill with that weapon. I _believe_ executions do as well.
