Leveling up in Campaign

I know u can level up and campaign, but is it just arcade mode, or the regular story mode also. If it is, that mean u will start multiplayer not on level one, but something much higher. correct? 11- 13 hours of gameplay on hardcore will get your rank up.

I think by using mutators in arcade mode you can increase or decrease the amount of XP you get by playing campaign.

But I've heard a lot of conflicting information regarding that, so don't quote me just yet.

Im been playing normal campaign all morning and its got me to level 4!

so, i'll be doing campaign on hardcore.
Then do it on insane right after.
Then complete horde 2.0.
Then do some beast mode.
Then i'll move over to multiplayer and play with my golden guns set :)
