Has Matchmaking for Campaign been confirmed?

Has the Campaign Matchmaking speculation been confirmed?? Will it be like Halo Reach? Reason I ask is because I want to finish the game myself then go through with at least 4 players for the hardest difficulty

Gears 2 have a system similar but NOONE plays it anymore. Hopefully they make it worth playable over and over like Reach.

yeah you can play with random people on gears 1 and 2 campaign. you just host a co-op xbox live campaign session and someone will join. I've been hosting lots of gears 1 campaign co-ops over the last week and someone joins in atleast 30 seconds

thank you. its been awhile since i played campaign but i know for a fact Gears on PC has a way to join randoms co-op campaign. And I was pretty certain the PC version is near identical to the console but with additional features.

and i know for a fact you can join randoms in gears2 now that i think about it

In the console version of Gears of War 1 is possible to search for co-op open slot of others people ;)

I hope its been improved, the way it was in Gears 2, just plain out sucked. If u tried to join a host, i have to go thru every chapter to see if someone was playing it.

How does it decide whos host? Whos which character? Whos player 1, 2 ,3, 4?

I'm guessing there's an option to host a game then people just join filling the slots in order.

If you've ever played Halo, think of it as similar to turning on "skulls" except they are called "Mutators." Different Mutators have different XP modifiers, such as +10% more, etc. Some are just for fun.

I was going to post an example here, but want to avoid spoilers. Some make things harder, some make it easier. Some of the ones that would effectively make it easier have XP modifiers of negative values, such as -25% XP.
