im gettin frustrated now as i am trying to create a simple firing set up for any gun, i want the spark (particle) to show once after every shot, and i dont want any projectiles and i want just a simple small spark to appear on the surfaces...obviously i have to create these sparks but if anyone could like share there basic set up of this then i can change things to my liking, i dont know anything about this tracing thing and all that. this would benefit my progress so much and i can learn from this set up if anyones got it?

Hello. Use InstantHit instead of projectile.

dont worry peeps ive figured a way of doing it, i just basically copied the linkguns coding and changed bits to my liking :)

actually how do adjust it so that the ricochet off of an object (particle) is different to hitting a pawn instead, basically i want it so anything other than a pawn (AI) plays this particle and then when the bullet hits a pawn i want it to play this particle etc.?

Have a look at impact effects in the weapon attachment class. Only works for instant hit weapons, so have a look at the shock rifle code.
