Hi there
Im very new to UDK's animation pipeline. Ive looked over the documentation about how I can get my hands on UDK's basic character joint setup, so I can import it into MAYA. animate it, and then export those animations back into UDK.
Can someone help me? / Point me in the right direction?

http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/UDKCustomCharacters.html
that page has the UT3 skeleton(which is used in UDK), I'm not sure about the animations part.

is there a copy for Maya? (i.e., A .mb or .ma file anywhere?) even a .fbx including the rig would be handy.
every time i try to install Max on my computer it goes crazy (i.e. 3DS Max goes crazy). Besides, Im a much bigger fan of using Maya anyway.

If you're interested I have a rigged version available in my signature. It's clean, skinned, ready for export.

Sorry about that, the tutorial disappeared a long time ago when Screentoaster was acquired and shut down the site. You only need to open up the character, animate him and export with ActorX and it should work by default.
