Reload explanation

Hey, I couldn't really make up from the movies how the reload thing works.
Is it like, press reload when your ammo flickers? Or how does it work?

Ya i think you hit reload when the icon flickers: If you do on time, your will reload quicker and have a power boost. If you do it off time, the gun will jam for a second (sweet for multiplayer). If you dont press it at all your gun doesnt reload any quicker or slower!:)

Basicly they said the whole thing is optional. You can go for it (but with a risk) or not go for it and just reload like normal.

It's a great idea indeed, requires quite a bit of skills in multiplayer which is always a good thing.

Its only a tad stronger... they said teh bigger plus about it is the reload's quickness!:)

Thats the point. EPIC has said the multiplayer (along with single) is like being on pins and needles! You constantly move from cover to cover and never want to be left out in the open!:D

Zoso let me tell u the truth, i have steadily become more and more insane since Gears was annouced so when it finally is released u can find me in my padded room playing Gow and fizzing at the mouth mumbling........gears......of..........war........ ...gears........of.........war!;)

Man Gears of war is great,
but just imagine games like 3 years from now.
The first year of xbox and ps3 games compared to last years sucked in comparison.

But id say the gameplay of the launch xbox 1 games to last years stayed kinda the same. Like splintercell 1-3 etc. I have a better thing to think about though. What will the unreal engine 4 be like. (they have like 5 guys working on it already!) :)

Yes i think this is one of the cool features nobodys gonna know about at first if they arent obsessed before it comes out (like myself) So for us in this forum.. PWNing is gonna be easy pickin the first few days! SWEET!:)

reloading is one of the most unique features of the game. its not your typical hit x and done. no. first you hit RB, right bumper. then a horizontal meter will pop up right underneath your ammo. you will see a dark space, a tiny whit space, a small grey space, and more dark space. a vertical line will appear at the left end of the meter. it will automatically shift towards the right. hit the RB again to stop the vertical line. if you stop it in any of the two dark areas you will jam your weapon making you take a really long time to reload. if you stop it on the white you get a really quick reload and a damage boost, if you stop it on the gray it only a quick reload and finally if you just let it go you will reload normally but it takes longer. the active reload system is great, i love it. it could reallly pay off or it will cost you.
