I started out defending this game in a lot of the reviews that were written online, one person gave it a one star and all he said was "foul language up the wazoo" I took the time to explain how you can turn that feature off, other people said that the game was repetitive, and I went in and said it all depends on how you play the game, the more you put in, the more your get out. Then I finished playing the story aspect and wanted to get into playing multiplayer, only to find that I have only one choice, I think that the fact that this game does not have a comprehensive multiplayer is an epic failure, sure if multiplayer had not been around forever I could understand but this game wanted to push boundaries, instead they just clarified how lame swearing is when your doing it for shock value, how lame EA, is charging people who buy the game used for multiplayer and other online features that are deeply flawed. and on top of all of that some people are buying into it. If your going to put a value on something in this case your saying that the online features are worth ten dollars separate from the value of the game, (if you happen to buy it used, or want to use it on more then one console" then you should give people value for that money. In this case the multiplayer is way off of what games had years ago. Not even talking about putting in say a death match or those tried and true, if you want to claim to be innovative then follow up, I could suggest a number of unique multiplayer avenues that the game could have followed and I came up with these ideas in five minutes, the designers and people who sold us this game had a lot longer and in my opinion failed to deliver on the 60 dollar brand new price tag for this game.

1. Building skirmish, collapsing buildings are a huge aspect of this game, why not build a multiplayer where the objective is to keep the people from escaping and destroying the building in the process, this was a big part of the game, and they could have developed it into the multiplayer.

2. people spoke about the gun issues, well apart from the leash the bad guys had a lot of the same weapons in the game, they even had animations depicting how those weapons hurt the player, so no real excuse their, if the leash is really an issue, I do not see how it is, then you can focus on team vs team, and have one team with out the leash, but give them a separate advantage, the way they did in a separate game, where one team was the bad guys and one team was human.

3. they had these cool anti grav boots or metal boots in the first thirty seconds of the game and never saw them a gain, how a bout using them in multiplayer, a multiplayer on the sides of a building, you could call it marco polo, you have the chance to get out of the pool so to speak, it would have added extra depth.

4. their is no depth, in a recent game, that came out that takes place underwater you had a room that they give you for load outs, why not create a multiplayer universe with your own pirate ship, create factions with other ships and build power, have missions and other things to build the multiplayer universe, instead of what we got, which is not deep, and does not even work for me.

The lamest thing of all not sure how this slipped the game testers, my internet is perfect, why should I have to change anything it works on all of my other games, it should work on this one, obviously something is wrong, and the message letting you know about your internet is in the middle of the screen totally killing and already lame gaming experience, having to kill a set number of bad guys with four other people, I kept having bad guys pulled from right in front of me by other team mates leash, its not fun and it is the only choice you have.

If they release additional DLC multiplayer and try and charge customers more for it, that would be the final straw, and I would be willing to bet like some other games that the dlc, may already be on the discs, with an unlock code to make more money.

whats the matter, you get lonely? Top the leaderboards. try a private anarchy, if you crave human interaction, i know random anarchies get annoying, with people netting 10 p per kill, ill agree with you there, but this game is far from a failure. it is the next gen sucessor to the revolutionary physics toy painkiller, one that i embrace and would not change a thing about.

Are you saying that this, new physics engine is only going to be in this game? is it going to be in other games as well? Why are you being snarky as well, I clearly stated that I had no problem with the game itself, I even stated how I defended certain aspects of it, but that the multiplayer functionality in this game for me, makes it a failure, the story mode is 50 of game play for me, and online is another 50 so this game gets a 50 the story mode is perfect, and that equals FAIL. If your going to sell a game for 60 bucks you should give customers their moneys worth, I just went back to Dead Space 2, which is an EA game, so should not be any issues with me mentioning it, and they have a bunch of different mission style multiplayers where you take turns being the good or bad guys, they did something cool, this game did not.
