Ok so you load the game to be presented "press [enter]" so you do so.

Next you get a totally unhelpful message which says:
"To play online you need to sign into your Games for Windows Live - Gamer Profile"
http://www.uploadimage.co.uk/images/26826010278702327849.jpg

On confirming that by pressing space you push back to the the "press [enter]" so this is the first problem where is the option to sign in?

Nope there's no option to sign in, there not even an option to quit so I end up atl+tab and killing off Bulletstorm using taskmanager I mean cmon peps did you test this process at all?

There's been no effort at all to integrate GFWL into Bulletstorm properly yet it needs it to play, not only to "play online" like the message says but to play at all :(

Anyway, I search around on the PC trying to find GFWL which I find in program files (no its not in the menu like any sane application)

So I fire it up to be presented with message about needing to patch to run on Windows XP.

Click the link and your get a very crappy laid out page where is difficult to see what you need to actually do:
http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Support/Games-for-Windows-Marketplace-Client-Download-Help/

So you find the link, download install, usual reboot which shouldnt be needed.

Start back up go to login, but Oh no "There is a problem with your account that you need to resolve before signing in"

http://www.uploadimage.co.uk/images/44356964325516407507.jpg

Click the "Click here to resolve" link to be presented with the message "Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.
It appears you've found a glitch in the system."
http://live.xbox.com/Error

No link to report, no support options no nothing.

So I search the forums and find the "support link" but Oh look support isnt available in the UK

So I have paid for the game, installed the game via steam no problem but can't play but due to GFWL being utter ****!

So the question how on earth do I:-
1. Get GFWL to work
2. Bypass GFWL so I can play the game I've paid for

Still cant play without manually loading GFWL before running the game.

What's the fix for that or is this going to be patched?

And now getting "Games for Windows Marketplace has encountered a problem and needs to close"

Please do something about this horrible software spoiling the Bulletstorm experience.

I remember getting this annoying loop of errors as well. My solution was to hit register for a new live account, when it asks for an email to register in the microsoft explorer window that pops up I put my current email for my current live account and it told me that I already had an account, it then proceeded to say I needed to accept the new terms and agreement stuff to use GFWL. I accepted and I was then able to go back to the game and login and finish the registration process.

Hope that helps.

It seems bulletstorm doesnt start the require GWFL service (wlidsvc) like it should when loading and that's the cause of clients not getting the GFWL options when in game.

This should be a simple fix just a service start call to wlidsvc if its not already running should sort.

Alternative for users in the mean time is to run the following from a command prompt:

net start wlidsvc
