I finished the Singleplayer part and it was pure fun. Wonderful graphic (you must stop and look around the world), great atmosphere, good action combined with a good story. Normal i do not play singleplayer (think this is the first since the UT Series did start) because i want have fun with my friends together in the Multiplayer part from a game. Play together and against Friends. The multiplayer part what is shiped with the Game makes a lot fun, but the team must realy help together to reach wave 20. Comunication is very important and when players only kill without the team, they wil never reach the final wave.
The Anarchy mode is good, but i think you can not play it over years like i did and do with UT.
I hope that there will be some addons for multiplayer in the future.
Good work Epic and People can Fly!

Yeah I finished the sp today too. Can't say I agree with you on the story, I thought it was rather poorly written. A good one wouldn't make sense with such trashy, immature dialog though. The sp was very short and had a very lackluster ending.
Yeah I know this is supposed to be an over the top arcade action adventure but to make every element of it so immature and shallow just takes so much potential away from it. GoW has a far better story and more engaging and challenging action IMO.
I don't know, maybe I've just outgrown those days when I was content to chase (and be chased by) monsters finding numerous ways to kill and or juggle them for gold in Painkiller. Eventually you have to ask yourself what's the point if there's no objective other than killing and escaping.
Even WITH the very shallow story if they'd at least offered more variety with better, bigger boss fights or AI that aren't so brain dead and not hand out skill points and ammo drops like candy, I would at least have felt like there was something there worth taking up my time.
This title is getting reviews around the mid 80s out of 100 and I really don't see it being as good as ones that weren't received as well like TimeShift and Singularity.
Toward the end of the game I realized that they were attempting something redundant by trying to add a significant story to a somewhat uninspiring premise. It gave me flashbacks of Unreal 2.
They'd been better off going full on arcade like Painkiller was, adding epic boss fights and throwing in some unique powers and challenges with a better monetary system.

"Gaming" should be easily defineable as an activity geared towards FUN. If I want love, hate, war, peace or any weighty stuff like that there are many ways to satifsy such an urge.
My review of Bulletstorm: Epic should have kept it in the stable long enough to give it some intense polishing for the PC. However, the product they DID release is fun to play, funny and worth buying.

It is, but I really do hope they tweak it to perfection. Glitches aside, I would like to see a lot more multiplayer added on later.

Agreed. Perhaps a mode or two more and some SERIOUS tweaking would be pretty sweet.

I love this game so much but having memory leak that made my game crash is one hell of a frustration.

Now after fixing the graphical issues I can say - the game itself is a Fun Person Shooter :) Let me share some of my first thoughts:
I like the story - finally I play single player without this feeling that I am waisting time because I should be already unlocking new perks in multi. I can sink into some other world than ultra-realistic-tactical-modern-conflict FPS.
And you know what? A huge RC RHINO is more fun than a little RC car :P
Anarchy mode is fun. Yes, it demands a good teamplay and communication but which team-based multiplayer doesn't? Bad Company 2? Quake CTF/TDM?
I think that Anarchy takes teamplay to a different level. A Bulletstorm level that is.
I think that Bulletstorm has this old-school feel of a game that needs practice and mastering. Of course not to the level that Quake needed for example, but still. Echo mode, Anarchy - you need to have aim, timing, you have to predict where the enemy's gonna fly after your teammate leashed him just to be there on time and boot him for a voodoo doll :)
Just to sum it up - it's the most fun and refreshing ****ty PC port I have ever played! :P

Win7 recovers the misallocated memory, unlike the old says, but you'd think someone would have caught the problem before the game was released.

Bloody Hell! Just got the game a few hours ago for PC. It's got to be one of the funnest games I have EVER played! Didn't have any issues that the other users are describing in the PC subforum. Had a minor issue with GFWL updating the game but that was easily circumvented. Great game, fantastic graphics, fast paced fun and fantastic gore!
Great job PCF and Epic! :)

I completed the SP Campaign on the first day ;D so I'm a UK gamer that's finished it before anyone even got their hands on it (besides the other pre-order peeps).
Fantastic game. I'm not a critic of stories in games or anything unless they're REALLY bad, and Captain Sorrano is a real character, sure it might be OTT but it is well written OTT dialogue :)
Sadly the replay value is lacking somewhat and there are issues with the PC version but there's no excuse not to rent this game at the least.

K, tell me where I can rent the pc version.
Although there's bound to be a free demo of it out at some point, I mine as well give it a go.

I finished it on the first day too. I wrote my "review" (is more like my own opinions but I did pointed some technical stuff too) here: http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=764700
I dunno, I expected way, way more from the creators of Painkiller. Actually I was expecting some sort of Painkiller meets Borderlands in a conceptual way. I won't say the game isn't fun, but it turns out that Bulletstorm is so dumbed down for the console peeps to handle that the kind of fun it delivered was similar to when you watch a movie. Which is good of course but as a game it fell short on way too many points. I'd give it 8/10 as a concept (graphical direction, characters, etc) and 3/10 as a game (easy as in your-dog-can-beat-it easy, too short, and save one or two levels, too repetitive).

Hehe, no fps is complete without jumping, even if the jumping is nothing but interacting with a log.

Hahah, right? And Grayson hunt as sooo badass that he was glued to the ground most of the game. Pathetic lol.

Really enjoyed the "Bulletstorm" campaign and like to blast my way through the Echoes in order to improve my last score. Will complete "Bulletstorm" on a harder difficulty for enjoyment and the achievements. Really awesome game; I hope it spawns a sequel.
Just two things I would like to mention though. When the game first installed and ran for the first time the Games For Windows Live windows appeared on screen asking to verify the authentication key; the message was not entirely in the window so I didn't know I needed to press the space bar to verify. Also in game when plugging headphones into the normal earphone jack the sound plays through the speakers of my desktop replacement system.
Keep up the good work.
