My brother and I were at the store yesterday looking at each of the Bulletstorm versions (PC, XBox 360 and PS3) and noticed the PS3 version is 720. Why is this? I was going to get it for the PS3, but I wasn't about to drop $59.99+tax on a game that doesn't support 1080i or 1080p.

We were actually shocked about this. The 360 has support for 1080 and we all know with the PC, the sky is the limit depending on your system. Why doesn't the PS3 version have 1080p out of the box?!

My brother and I ended up each getting a copy for the PC, though we wanted it for the PS3. After playing it though, we are VERY happy we went the PC route.

I've been a long time fan of Epic since the Unreal days (still have the original Unreal box on my desk). This game brings me back to how I felt when I first played Unreal. It was different. It looked incredible. You guys have a winner here and I hope it sells well for all of you. This could very well be the next UT (Original UT that is)...

Take care and thanks for reading

The 360 upscales its games to 1080p. A lot of games that say they support 1080p have a much lower native resolution. For example, Halo 3 has a native resolution of 640p and is upscaled by the Xbox hardware, but you're not going to see "640p" on the back of the box. It's really not that uncommon; other games I can think of off the top of my head that are natively sub-HD include Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Alan Wake.

Unless your TV is really large or you sit extremely close to it, the qualitative difference will be minimal. Amazing-looking games like Uncharted 2 support only 720p.

If you really want mindblowing graphics you should get the PC version. Native 1080p is probably too resource-intensive for most games to pull off on this generation's hardware.

The 360 only gets upschaled to 1080, you won't see any difference.

It reminds me of a drink I recently saw that said "Only 5 calories." It was a small bottle. I figured it meant 5 calories for the bottle. Nope, they meant 5 calories per serving and there were 5 servings in the bottle. A lot of companies mislead or flat out lie which skews results for people that tell the truth, because it doesn't look as good.
