In the PC version, why can't we adjust the FOV????? Why does this need to be a bad trend?
Why is there Mouse acceleration on with no option to turn it off? Was there a lack of attention given to the PC version?
Why is the game capped at 60 fps on PC?
It's mind boggling why these basic needs aren't taken care of on PC, especially from an amazing Developer People Can Fly. This is really disheartening.
If the roles were reversed, and the Gamepad was too sensitive and 360/PS3 gamers had no way of changing it, it would be a monumental disaster. Same with the FOV, this absolutley needs to be adjusted.
Come on People Can Fly, you're PC peeps at heart and you know what it takes. Epic knows better, but chooses not to address these issues?
As a lifelong customer, who gladly supports this business with hard earned money, what's the deal?????

I hope they can patch some of these issues. It's yet another case of acute consolitis.
Publishers make them put all the work and polish into the main moneymaking version which is of course the xbox/ps3.
We're the ones who are now doing the PC playtesting for them and paying 60$ for the privilege. I just hope they actually now fix some of these issues because there is a really good game hiding under all these flaws they overlooked to get the game released.

Whats wrong with 60FPS? Any more than that and you won't notice anyway.
If you meant 30FPS, then it's only capped because you have Anti Aliasing applied.

Some people have monitors which can display 120 frames per second (Hz etc). You can't tell by exactly how much, true, but 120 is visibly smoother than 60.
This also creates less or even gets rid of screen tearing.
Also whenever you do 3D gaming your framerate is cut in half. Two views, one for each eye. Would be better to have 60fps for each view than 30fps.
As a side note FOV needs to be adjustable because low default FOV gives you bad depth perception and spatial awareness, key elements in a fast paced action game. Also if you sit close, low FOV can make you motion sick due to the tunnel vision effect.

I think the main issue is that PC gaming is all about open source.
It's about modifying the game to how you like.
Consoles are locked down for ease of development and use.
PC gamers want the open source nature that they are used to and it's the reason they game on PC.
Developing a multi million dollar game, charging 60USD and then giving PC gamers the left over garbage of a locked down console port is an insult to the customers.
A PC game should have little bugs.
I understand that there are almost an infinite amount of hardware choices leading to some technical problems but when the bugs in a game are experienced by the majority of gamers it's obvious the game was not tested enough before release.
There should also be 16:10 ratio support without the black bars or performance problems.
A large portion of gamers today use 16:10 so this support should have been common sense to add in the game.
It's also common sense to test the game in 16:10 ratio resolutions to make sure there is no problem.
They obviously did not do this because using 16:10 ratio resolutions causes huge performance problems.
My guess is the publishers pushed the devs to release the PC version before it was finished.
Hopefully they release a patch and do not ignore us as they did with Gears of War......

Never heared of that happening, I doubt it's a serious risk to most people in all honesty. I agree about the FOV though, would be nice to change that.
But seriously, over 60FPS is excesive, I just don't see the point in having more than that.

I'm hoping this is the case. I'd really like to see the PC version reach its full potential :(.

FOV motion sickness is a serious and extremely well known issue, I'm genuinely surprised you haven't heard of it. The more common it is for people to grow up playing games, the more people it affects.
Here are some good, objective technical reasons why supporting more than 60fps is important (in this game it wouldn't be hard to do either, just a true/false variable in a text file):
Some people have monitors which can display 120 frames per second (Hz etc). You can't tell by exactly how much, true, but 120 is visibly smoother than 60.

Well, I started playing games when I was 2 years of age, I am now 23 and have never suffered from what you call FOV motion sickness, neither have my close friends who have also been playing as long as I have.
It could be a case of that we are a minority, thats entirely possible, it's not that I'm ignorant, it's just that I have genuinly never heared of it.

I thought same, until i got it about 3 times in last year. You never know if it affects you or not. More freedom means more chances tht some small tweak helps in your case, even if its placebo effect. I never understood why people accept less choices and are happy for it and ask for more limiting.

I can notice up until about 90 frames, after that I cannot accurately guess within the range of the fps. I blame all these 5 year old consoles, they're dragging pc down with them, hehe.

There's a massive difference between 60, 90 120. But you need to experience it yourself and on the right kind of monitor.
It's kinda like watching a bluray movie for the first time, and then watching the dvd version straight after.

You're telling me the commercials of Blu-Ray on a DVD saying how much better Blu-Ray is and showing a "simulated comparison" on the DVD isn't the same, whaaa....hehehe :)
