for a good boost in score, the section where you send the elevator to squash the enemies let them all show up hiding in the glass case then use a charged flak gun shot to take out the majority for big points!

Man, I can't figure out how to get 3 stars. I think i'm around 6500 points, but, I can't figure out all the skill shots. All I seem to manage is Bullet Kick, Voodoo, Shocker, Gangbang, and the alt fires for the guns.

I only played twice and I got a bit over 8000 last time. Speed is key it seems for good bonus points at the end.

My favorite skill shot so far is the mercy, and shooting someone with the charged magnum shot into spikes or something.

This game is too great...was just getting it for the Beta [like most of us I assume] but this game is actually really good. Its fun, quick, addictive, brutal, skillfull, and pure awesomeness...everything I want in a game.

Only thing missing from the demo is a shotgun...but oh well, game comes out soon enough

ive only got 16k+, i really dont get how you score above 20k. a good way to rack points is on the elevator part (squishes enemies) i shoot one guy with a flail, then shoot the cieling quickly with a charged screamer (sets everyone on fire) then hold LB to launch them all in the air, do it 3 times then squish(: lol. normally get a couple thousand from just that. Goodluck.

By the end of the first day of the demo's release, my top score was 14630 (which won me the limited Bulletstorm edition PS3) and I was ranked 8th in the world.

Naturally tons of people beat me and by two days later my rank was 157th, so I beat my previous score, bringing it up to 18235 (http://twitpic.com/3tyhbp) for a global rank of 37th!

Thanks to some neat tricks I saw in some videos of high scores, I managed to score 14,295. Which is probably is about as high as I'll be able to get—I just can't button mash much better than that.

trick is to not button mash but plan your combo's ahead, you should know what enemies come where and when now.

all week i was stuck at 6k max, since friday i do consistant 16k's with still some skillshots failing to get it higher. If I make those failed shots i should be able to hit the 20k's as well. It's not as hard as it seems, it is as fun as it seems though :P

trick is to not button mash but plan your combo's ahead, you should know what enemies come where and when now.I don't mean mash literally. I mean mash figuratively as in I just don't have the manual dexterity or co-ordination to do what needs to be done. A small part of it is my particular gamepad controller; the large part of it is me and my old, slow fingers. ;)

I did manage to improve slightly to 14,285 earlier today. I'll be hard-pressed to get much beyond that. Still though, the score puts me in the top 1,000s, which for me is pretty darned good.

Try some of these (I take no credit for these, youtube does... well, I might have done some of them myself, but anyway):

Single enemy (try with first one): Flail on head or upper body, shoot with PMC in the nuts (hear a squishy sound when hit), charge PMC, wait till enemy on his knees is screaming, headshot with PMC charged.

Open area with pillars after first green guy: First dude (standing in front of the wires on the wall if you're fast enough) flail, then kick into wires. Charge Screamer, thump the next one, should get three enemies in the air, quickly shoot one of them (not the one you thumped) with the charged screamer, wait till others burn, shoot them, trying to do either very quick head-shots (Snapshot), kill-shot up the butt (Rear Entry) or shoot off limbs (surgeon).

Alternative for that area (faster): after kicking the first dude, try quick one-shot-kills of the others (Screamer), getting Fast Draws, maybe Gunslinger, and saving lots of time.

Tenderizer: Prepare charged Screamer, then wait for many people (seven or so) in the tube. Shoot tube ceiling with Screamer, light them on fire, use thumper. Prepare charged Flail Gun, wait for people to come, try to headshot at least two (wait for them to group up). Then try the charged Screamer and Thumper again. Only at the end, activate the Tenderizer.

Drunk Area (where you drink the liquor after the drop pod): Walk forward as far as you can (ideally all the way to the little platform in front in front of the crouch tunnel), flail the normal guy to the right and leash him towards you (should be surrounded by now), then detonate.

Those can get you some points, if you can pull them off.

Also, any Sadist will add 50 points after the first, so Flail away. And slide, run, be quick.

And for practical inspiration, here's my opening:

Start demo. Switch to Flail. Slide at second doorway, turn left while sliding. Flail the guy behind the crates, switch to PMC, shoot him in the crotch, charge PMC, wait till he's on his knees, aim and headshot. That's Mercy, Sadist, Overkill. 1000sp
Someone on this forum twigged me to that:

Overkill is a PMC Charged Annihilator shot to the head. I get it every round on the starting guy.

I flail gun trap him so he can't move, give him a well placed double tap to his family jewels and then melt his undeniably ugly face with a PMC Charge Shot... good times.

I don't know how to get Boned or French Revolution again. I'm assuming FR is two or more headshots with a Flailgun Charge shot and Boned.. PMC Charge Shot to the manhood? I'm not sure.

Turn left, flail guy behind cover, then leash the hatch above him. Ding-Dong, Sadist. 550sp

Hop cover, slide into guy coming up, flail him, kick him towards door opening (kick him twice if need be). Green guy comes close, I detonate. If timed correctly, that's Homie Missile, 2x Gang Bang. 750sp (I think). Shoot head of green guy with Screamer, charge Screamer, switch to flail, turn right, then left, flail first guy, kick him into wires on the right wall (leash first if need be). Shocker, Infected, Sadist. 800sp

Alternative after Ding-Dong I've been trying: Slide down slope into guy, flail him, kick him towards door, but not out. Wait for green guy, switch to Screamer or PMC, headshot green guy next to flailed guy. Try to be close enough to green guy to get infected. Eventually flail guy detonates. Ideally that's One Shot Wonder / Fast Draw, Headshot, The Cure, Infected. 750sp (I think). Switch to Screamer, charge Screamer, switch to flail, turn right, flail first guy, kick him into wires on the right wall. Shocker, Infected, Sadist. 800sp

Turn left, switch to Screamer (charged), leash and thump first guy. Turn right, fire Screamer into other guy in the air, wait for fireworks to be over, kill others with Screamer. Lots of different stuff.

Maybe that'll help. Or inspire.

Thank you but I tried Flailing him and shooting him in the crotch but I can't seem to have him drop to his news when I do this O_O I have not tried doing a charged PMC so I will try this :D

EDIT: Did that thank you and I shock him in the nuts yet didn't get anything extra so I just think its Flail,shoot in nuts, than shoot head with charged PMC.


Also I only see ONE green guy and if I flail the guy down the slop thingy and kick him like you said than the green guy will be deal, besides I nomrally flail the green guy then kick him into the spikes for I think 500 points?

You hear a very distinctive squishy sound when you hit the unhittables.
The slide should get you close to him, then flail him above the waist. Get close with the PMC, look at the crotch area, then LT aim and fire a couple of short bursts in that area. Guy should scream, then after like two seconds go to his knees. Still screaming. Then comes the PMC charged to the head. You can also just kick him when he's down, but that's less points...

And like someone else here said: Plan ahead. Be fast. Be brutal. Be vigilant!

I was down most the day due to internet issues, so if anything, I guess all that practice I did offline paid off. I am really enjoying the demo, and it hasn't gotten old for me at all. Can't wait to see what the full game contains.

Hi Crimson, my updated score is now 20,945 (and has been for the last three days).

I was bang on track for a great score at one point yesterday (12,450 before entering the 'drunk room'), but I hit a glitch whilst sliding towards the booze pickup and fell through the scenery to my death :( (first and only time this happened) :confused:

I have been playing this demo for over 100 hours nearly now :eek: The thing is I KNOW I can at least equal and maybe even better the current high score, but it's just getting that 'perfect run' through. It's so addictive! I mean I don't play most full games for this long (apart from Gears of course).

I am not ever sure that I could get to the top of the leaderboards; I played it like most merely for enjoyment. What I was hoping to do is get a good feel for the game, so I could have an idea of some of the ways to increase my score. I did look at others to see what they did that I didn't, and some of what I saw made me think, "why didn't I think of that?" Now that I have a relatively good understanding of how to go about things, I find that I am still enjoying simply playing the demo. With the game right around the corner (about time), I am going to play other games on my 360. Tuesday can't get here soon enough.

Thats ridiculous lolol i played the demo a few times and just barely got over 6,000

If you have the demo, Gears, try combining weapons with the environment, and as you go through the game you'll see your score get higher. ( example: using the flailgun to wrap a skull, then kicking him in to the wall and getting two skillshots; or wrapping an enemy and then dropping the rocks on top of him, getting ding dong and sadist....) It's a short demo, but worth playing alot to perfect the craft so to speak.
