View Full Version : Terrain breaks mobile previewer

I've been doing some testing and for some reason on my system every time I try to use terrain it breaks my mobile previewer but the regular play in editor works fine. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a solution?
I have been doing a bunch of testing to narrow this problem down to only being the terrain. I can build a map with only terrain and a player start and it still breaks the mobile previewer.

I don't believe terrain is supported at present for the iPhone version of UDK, I may be wrong here though. I've never liked Unreal's terrain modelling tools. I've been modelling terrain in Maya.

He's right terrain is not supported. You could use static meshes with mesh paint

But if i use maya or something to create, then import to udk it will work?

If you create your terrain in a 3D package then it's just a normal static mesh.
You can place it in your game world wherever you want.

It would be nice if the udk mobile game at least gave an error message indicating what happened instead of just crashing like that.
Are dominant directional lights supported?
