View Full Version : MBP + Bootcamp + Windows 7 = crazy fan cooler?
Hi,
I'm working with my MacBook Pro core 2 duo 2.4ghz Nvidia 9600GT with Windows 7 (bootcamp). When I open UDK Mobile Editor, the fan coolers go crazy, anyone experiencing this?
Thanks

Yea, that's gonna happen, though UDK pushes the fans on my Dell laptop as well. Windows on the Mac has horrible power management, and runs considerably hotter than it needs to. I used UDK for a little while on my MacBook Pro, but I can't remember if the fans got very high.

Yep, same config here and the fans just go nuts. On the bright side, seeing the weather outside in these parts, I'm kinda happy I've got one extra radiator in my apartment;)

This probably won't help, but have you tried switching from the real-time preview to the other option that just updates the perspective view when your viewpoint actually changes? It might just make a difference.
Raz.

Thanks!

It's the joystick-button on the left side of each viewport. It defaults to on in all viewports.
It works!, now my coolers back to silence also when building all :)
