Is it possible to transfer my progress between the iphone and ipad versions?

Only if you backup a device #1 and then restore that backup on device #2.

Or I'm guessing you could SSH in and find the user data and copy it manually, but I'm not 100% sure where that is stored.

Cheers, yeah i didnt think it would be possible natively. I guess i will just have to put on my iOS wish list for game centre to gain a save file synch.

What would be better is a more broad 'user data' sync function that all apps could use. Currently syncing stuff is a bit of a mess :|

I have an iPad/iPhone game called Galaxy on Fire 2 that uses OpenFeint to sync progress. As well as a local save game slot, it comes with an OpenFeint save slot. If you save to this then you can go to the other device, click load game and choose the OpenFeint save slot and it will load the progress, allowing you to carry on playing from where you left off.

If Apple can make Game Center include this sort of functionality that would be awesome.

This is a feature that I could use too.

One other solution is to copy Broken Sword II on iOS, which has an option to export and retrieve saves from your Dropbox. That lets you share progress between multiple iOS devices and, presumably, the PC/Mac remastered version that's due soon.
