joystick...strafes l/r but won't look around?

Hi all. I'm playing Unreal on my PC with a steelseries joystick; I can strafe left and right but I can't look around. I've tried everything but cannot seem to figure it out! I un-clicked mouse control in preferences and even there only the mouse works for looking around while the joystick affords only strafing capabilities. Any help on this would be most appreciated!~

I guess you mean UT(2004) because Unreal (http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/Unreal) and UT (http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/Unreal_Tournament) are different games.

Well, which steelseries controller is it exactly? I guess it has two sticks like a PS controller, right?

thanks!...I'm playing the original Unreal off of the Gold Anthology using a 3gc steelseries controller. It runs great on my PC but as I mentioned I can't play because I can't look around. I found a few threads directing me to tweek int. files or something but I'm completely illiterate and it's super confusing!

Hm... Do you have the link? I couldn't find anything on google. Maybe I can help you to tweak the file? I don't think it's confusing if it's described well. :)

It's just for online compatibility. Unreal Gold from the Anthology pack has one or two changed texture packages (thanks to Midway). Because of this you can't connect to regular servers.
