View Full Version : Undertanding Playercard Stats

I'm puzzled by some of the numbers I see displayed when I'm playing GOW2 on Xbox live. After a match, if I press 'yY' and get the team list and then view a particular player stats, I get a screen devoted to that player. So, for example:

1) Across the top I see the playername at left, and at top right I see the number: 1057389 What does this number mean?

2) This player has a "Star with Wings" emblem, indicating, I thought, substantial experience / prowess in GOW2. And yet, this player's stats indicate he has played only 8 Matches.

My impression was that the "rating" in GOW2 was a fairly loose indication of experience -- but that it would take a fiar amount of playing to rise to the "coveted" distinction of "Star with wings".

I don't really care a lot about ratings -- I play for fun and suck pretty badly, finding it surprisingly hard to improve. But I'm just trying to make sense of these numbers I see -- as I would expect these numbers to help me gauge my improvement and judge the strength of opponents. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

1. That is the player rank, lower the better.
2. That would either be someone new to that particular game-type (they may have gotten their experience in other modes as the hi-scores are different for each) or they are a glitcher. The star is rank #100, the best rank.

1. The playcard is only for that type of game. Whether it be guardian or submission or any of those.

2. The star is XP of rank 100. Ranks accumulate for any mode. So you probably saw a rank 100 who never got into whatever gametype you were playing, but another gametype instead.

Thanks for the help.

Is there any central place where I can find this sort of information? I find in general that while I'm able to get on XBox live and play games, I'm really just guessing at a lot of details -- for instance I have no idea what it means when someone invites me to a "party" -- and I'm not at all sure what accepting a "Friend" invitation entails or suggests to others. I often feel like I don't know how GOW/XBox "works" in various ways, and I just stumble through.

That sort of stuff you should check over on xbox.com to be honest.
