Neat, you NEED to go back and adjust collision, and add BlockingVolumes to restrict any movement not forward or backwards. Every little thing pushes the player off-center then you can no longer pick up items or advance anywhere.

You could also add a distance radius to the activation of enemies. This will ensure they won't be attacking the player until they are on screen. As it is now, everything was shooting at my from several screens before I could see them, pretty much killing me before I had to chance to do anything.

Metal slug is one of the best series of all time and your level recreations are wonderful. It makes me wish you had changed the items and player character as well though.

First of all, very cool stuff!

The core is there, but you must work on the 2D-aspects of the gameplay. A absolutely agree with and strongly encourage taking Max Power's advice on adding collision and range trigger.

Personally, I don't see the Link Gun as the most fitting "deafult" weapon. If you want to use the UT standard weapons, I'd say the standard pistol or minigun would make more sense.

Also, just in case you want to make it more Metal Slug, the prisoners should spawn an item when you save them.

For extra variety in the gameplay, you could spawn an enemy or two equiped with only the melee-weapon, so they charge towards you instead of firing at you from a distance.

I would also disable the double-jump.

But once again, what you got is really cool and it's fun to play (when it doesn't "break"), but it could be so much better if you put more time into it, which I hope you will.

Cool stuff! Especially the meshes and the materials. The lighting seems a bit flat in my opinion.

after having tried this, I'm very impressed by the work you've done with the graphical side of this. it very much feels like the stage I remember, and looks only slightly more muted than the original's color palette. The submarine and the camp huts suspended over the water are nearly flawless, and I really liked the ways you added to the depth of the stage overall.
The gameplay had a tendency to fall apart due to no coding to keep everything lined up, though. The enemies also had problems staying on the same plane as the player, which made actually hitting them very difficult. I was also dissappointed that I couldn't actually jump around on the background in any way. that would have helped immensely in pulling together the structure of the level.
Still, you did more or less get everything right where it mattered, and that is very much what you want to do when recreating a scene like this. especially one coming from such a rich and detailed series.

I have to wonder, do you intend to make more like this? I'd really be interested in seeing more remakes of game backgrounds, especially if you put as much effort in on other projects as you did with this!

Big thanks!:DI'm lack of coding and I'm good at game art.I think I should learn more about Kismet and scripts.I'll do more remakes in the future! And next time our mod will be better!:)
