I am very surprised not much has been said about this game even though it looks amazing. The idea and concept is interesting and for me is certainly a day 1 buy.
Hopefully more people will start to notice bulletstorm because it looks like a really good game in the making. :)
Also this my first post here. Nice meeting you all! :D:D

Nice meeting you. :)
I guess it has to do with Bulletstorm being a new IP after all, we don't have much to talk about yet :p There definitely is interest on the net, I see a lot of positive comments towards the game in mainstream videogame forums and websites.
Don't worry about the lack of activity for now, I'm sure the place will be crawling with people once Bulletstorm launches.

I completely agree. There's just not a lot to talk about right now. I think this game will be really big. If it has a really large MP portion there will be people all over this website.

I hope so to! The fact is there's only so much that can be discussed by such a small minority of people. When more content becomes available, along with footage, I'm sure everything will pickup! :D

I'm trying to recall how Gears of War's media/public attention looked back in 2005, before it was released and we only had few footage of the old prison. And I'm confident that the game had much more attention to it, at least more than Bulletstorm.
I'm guessing it's partly due to Microsoft's publishing, they've put the videos over on xbox live and people registered on the boards afterwards.

Yes well, Bulletstorm's marketing strategy isn't being half bad, Cliff and Tanya are doing a great job building up hype for this game, but you can really see Microsoft's hand (aka cash for advertisement) in the products they publish.
Might be a number of reasons apart from that, probably the fact that while Epic is collaborating on the development, the game is People Can Fly's baby. I personally knew of PCF because of Painkiller, but they are a smaller studio when compared to a behemoth like Epic Games and I'm sure many people haven't heard of them.
Just think, if Bulletstorm was being developed by the Epic team in Raleigh, there'd be a lot more buzz on the net simply because it'd be "the new game from the guys that brought you Gears of War." Sucks for the smaller development studios, but big names and fame make the difference when it comes to hype and sales numbers.
Then again it's also a double edged sword for the big devs with the insane expectations people have for their games. :p

I fear its marketing fate same as UT3, hopefully i am wrong.

I personally think UT3 was a completely different story...
1. Being published by Midway, who were already having economic problems at the time (I think), they probably couldn't pull off a very big marketing stunt. Maybe both Epic and Midway themselves thought it wasn't even needed, because...
2. Being a sequel to a very old saga of hardcore FPS on the PC with a very old and well-established fanbase, I don't think Epic were focusing of selling this game, which isn't newbie friendly at all, to a new crowd; the UT fans would be buying it and getting into it day one.
With Bulletstorm you have a new IP, so we're all at the same level and there's no old hardcore fanbase who has played previous iterations of this game for 10 years now. The game is also multiplatform from the get-go.
It also looks like PCF want to focus on the single player campaign a lot, which makes it more newbie friendly for people who aren't into hardcore competitive multiplayer, or into shooters at all.
Lastly it's published by EA, who have been making good marketing efforts for their new IPs (think Dead Space, Mass Effect, etc).
Long story short, I think Bulletstorm will do okay in terms of sales. :)

I hope so, this engine deserves mod-able game. UDK only is not enough to keep healthy number of geeks around.

"the new game from the guys that brought you Unreal."
Atleast thats how i'll always see it :)
I think Bulletstorm has just become suffocated if you will when stacked against Epics other Superhypedmega game that only recent had its released pushed back there just isn't that much room to talk about bulletstorm.
That said i still look forward to bearing my teeth and taking a bite out of it :)

Here sir is a black check with my name on it, put whatever the game is worth on there and give me a copy on Xbox360 and PC right now.
>.> One for Achievement whore, one for UDK modding. All for fun.
... This is why I don't get a checkbook....
