Ever since I was a little kid playing NES I always loved big bosses. I don't know. I'm just a sucker for them. One of my favorite gigantic boss fight in recent memory was the Chicago level in Resistance 2. You had to fight a creature that was about the size of Godzilla. It was awesome. He chased you all over the city. Hekaton reminds me of that. I can't wait. Just out of interest, how many of you like big boss fights and what were some of your favorites over the years?

This is the first time I've been over to the Bulletstorm Forums and they look great!

Anyhow, on with the question at hand.

I love gigantic bosses, so long as they're worthy.

Agreed. Sometimes they can be dull but if done right there is nothing more epic!!

Well... I'm actually antifan of any behemot like bosses, but in game like bulletstorm is ok. It fits idea of whole game really good, so i don't have anything aganist.

However in other polish game - Witcher2 i don't like this idea. Both of shown bosses are large ones (one is just very large, and second, tentadrake, is just enormous.). Game is Fantasy RPG with serious climate and gigantic bosses just don't fit to serious games :)

If you like Duke Nukem, Serious Sam and Painkiller, there is no way to hate this.

I've never played Painkiller but I keep hearing good things. I'm a big fan of Gears of War, the original Gears, Gears 2 dissappointed me big time. I'm just really excited for this because I think it's going to bring the fun back to shooters, the fun that I had with the original Gears.

I love Giant Bosses :D So I'm very much looking forward to this game :p

One of the most memorable Bosses i've fought is the Ice Titan from Kingdom Hearts 1.

Not a fan of big boss but it's ok, better stay in action game, like God of War, or TPS like Gears.

Boss fights are amazing in every game, I feel like they get left out of shooters to much now. It makes sense in some games like we don't need some giant super terrorist in Call of Duty.... O.o wait I reserve the right to change my mind and say that is awesome. That is why I like Gears of War, they have boss fights and they do it awesome.

Yeah you don't need one for every level, make them a surprise and tied to the story.

(off topic) No... i am talking like MECH TERRORIST who shoots laser out of his eyes and you need to play as Stephen Colbert with a jetpack 50 cal sniper and AC130!.... O.O

There is large and small bosses, so I think there is a variety and even a specific way to defeat them tactically when we have to deal with them.

That is the best way to do it. I like when a boss requires you to think. I love games like the Metal Gear Solid franchise. The boss fights are unique every time.

kinda reminds me of another game I used to play, was an over the top FPS where you were fighting demons and destroying them in awesome ways. What was it called again?

Giant bosses are some of the best boss battles ever. Just the idea of a beast taking up the whole screen just makes my gaming experience that much more better. But of course, some small bosses are pretty fun too.

Well Gigantic bosses are nice and fun, as long as the battle isn't scripted.... Resistance 2 bosses were nice and impressive, but easy as hell.

A good gigantic bosses should be taken down in many battle, not just one, and if possible in differents ways, not just shooting/slashing at him...

Yeah, scripted bosses are really no fun. I can understand when they uses giant beasts for creating a certain atmosphere, but when they make it easy, it really doesn't help any.

My first post. Signed up to the forum when I first heard PCF were making Bulletstorm. I see it's now active :)

Painkiller. Necrogiant. When you first see it come out of the mist you think "There's got to be a trick to kill this one". There isn't  :D

I love big bosses. They're so...HARD to take on. ♥
Therefore, the battles are usually REALLY LONG. ♥
Also, it is necessary to have a FIRM grip on your controller during these bouts. ♥
After I BEAT the big boss, I listen to LIMP Bizkit.
Oopsie! I just spilled milk all over my pants...

I completely agree.
