Dedicated servers!!??

I'm confused. There were rumors going around that gears of war 3 will have dedicated servers. But now Epic is saying that they have not announced dedicated servers. Please, somebody tell me what is going on.

I'm not sure about this, but dedicated servers would definately get rid of the host advantage issue.
