Well, I have a friend and he has CityEngine, but we both do not know how to write a Python script to export the CityEngine map into UDK. We have both seen SOO many videos on how to actually do the import export etc., BUT the part on export always just has the guy click export with a python script premade, I believe called write-t3d.py . How can we get this script, can someone PLEASE help US! Thank YOU!

Why do you want to write something?
1)Export it as an fbx (The website says it can)
2)Import it as a static mesh (udk can import fbx files)
3)???
4)Profit.
Or am I missing something here?
[edit]
Turns out I am missing something. The import into udk allows it to be procedural. The site does say you need to write the python exporter yourself. Not sure why unless the file requires information specific to your map. Sorry.
The guy who did this does hang around these forum -> http://forums.epicgames.com/member.php?u=1304077 Why not message him?

Yes, a Python script called write-t3d.py does the export from CityEngine to Unreal's T3D format. Please tell your friend to send this request / question about the export script to support at procedural dot com.
I'd be glad to help further there and share the project.
(Note that this workflow requires a full CityEngine license with Python Scripting and Export enabled)

yes, it's part of a package on the CityEngine support forum... though the script itself has been renamed.

I still haven't gotten it to work though :-(
