The hell is this, "The Last Day" thing? I know I've heard of it, but I don't know what it is.
Is it a DLC or what?

So as a viral ad for Gears 2 EPIC/Microsoft hid some very special COG Tags in America and a few other countries. People I believe had to find the hidden COG Tags by coordinates released on Twitter. Also if you worked close with EPIC/Microsoft you got one right-off-the-bat in a nice case. Also some were won at contest doing the midnight launch event in some stores. Once people found them they could register the CSID code at gearsofwar.com/lastday. This unlocked wallpapers, avatars, art, screen-shots, etc. About 1000 were made, and one went on eBay back in 2008 for over $400. It's extremely rare.

I am proud to say, I too own one of these priceless pieces of art. :)

Mine didn't come in a box/case like above, it did feature a chain necklace though. I got it for $60 on eBay just about a month ago.

so what do you mean they hid them in america and other countries ? do you mean like buried them on a random beach somewhere for the first person to find or do you mean they put them on the shelfs of a random comic or gaming store ?

If you look at the second sticky thread in this section you'll notice many were MIA. Some were probably found and thrown out, or like ones on the ground just picked up by cleaning workers, so there is probably less than 1000 out there.

Those are actually really cool, and pretty clever on EPIC's part.

I missed out on this epic treasure hunt back in 2008. Had I been active on these boards then, maybe I would have gotten lucky and found the one in Windsor/Detroit. Oh well. I still search for one for sale everyday on eBay and across the internet.
