Is there a programm/mod, with which I can make the hitbox visible?

(for offline usage, to get a concepting of the hitbox size)

---------------------------------
Then a general info about this thread:

It is NOT the intention to write a cheat. => There is also a well-known program called show-damage-tool, which works only offline and shows the damage dealed with weapons. In fact, its a mutator, and this mutator is not loaded when going online. The show-hitbox-tool must work as well only in offline mode, would be nice if it is

I've been wondering about this myself recently. I'd like to see it as a mutator too, just to get a better idea of how it lines up with the different characters and exactly where the headshot hitbox is on players in turrets (and exactly how big it gets when standing still while holding the Sniper Rifle).

Head hit box of all players who stand still get bigger, or only if wearing the sniper rifle?

When you are completely immobile and you are holding the Sniper Rifle, the headshot hitbox for all other players (not yourself) is enlarged.

Load up a deathmatch map with novice bots and run and jump around trying to get headshots with the Sniper. After a little while, try getting headshots again, but stand perfectly still when you do. The difference is VERY noticeable.

...but stand perfectly still when you do.

It requires crouch-walking-speed or lower. You do not have to be standing still.

SlowHeadshotScale=1.75
RunningHeadshotScale=0.8
Never could figure out why until I saw how incredibly slow the sniper scope was with the gamepad.

All characters (apart from the Krall) share the same hit boxes iirc.

There should be a way to check in the editor. No idea how you'd go about doing it in game though.

All default UT3 models use the same hitbox. Including the Krall, which is why trying to headshot them doesn't work unless you hit the neck :/

Well that's fail. Gives me another reason to hate Krall apart from the fact they sound mentally retarded.

The problem is that they are jumping all the time. I think the hitboxes move with the animation :rolleyes: That makes headshots even harder.

Well back to the original question:

Has somebody heard of how to make the hitboxes visible, are there any mods, something ...?

Is somebody interested to write himself such a mode? The demand for it would not be high

Well according to "showdebug collision"

The hitbox is a cylinder
Radius 21
Height 44

Nice, there seem to be some informations around. But, ....

First:
These numbers make only sense in relation to a reference.

Second:
I thought again about it, for someone who can program it can not be difficult to make these hitboxes visible. They allready exist. All he has to do is to fill them out with a color, preferred with a transparent color. Even Microsoft Paint masters this function.

Who would like to program this small, useful tool?

LOL Well, they are not humans. Their anatomy may be different ^^
But why can't they just walk like they did it in Unreal? That's confusing when they are jumping all the time!

How did you make this visible?

And sure this is a hitbox? -- A question: Should there not be two hitboxes, one for the body and one for the head?

headshot Hitboxes shouldn't show up unless you have the sniper rifle. :rolleyes:

Isn't that just the collision radius of the actor itself? Make a screenshot while holding the Sniper. Want to be sure :)
