Hello everyone,

my name is Gil and I'm one of the members of the Team which is working on a first/third person shooter called 'Last Exit'.

http://boesbart.broodwar.ch/img/lastexit/LE-Flyer.jpg

As you can see in the image above we also have a blog online, so feel free to visit us at: lastexitthegame.blogspot.com (http://lastexitthegame.blogspot.com/)

The setting is going to be a post-apocalyptic Berlin in the year 2045. You're the wraith of a childsoldier using the bodies of your enemies as hosts in your quest for vengeance.

Being a students project we do have a fixed schedule. We stared at the 1st of April and the Gold Master will be at the 29th of July and we're hopefully presenting the final Prototype at the GamesCom in Cologne (August, 16th).

But heres some more images, like the color scheme and the final elite NPC, whose waiting for the player at the end of the level to kick his ass back into the wasteland of Berlin.

The One Man Bunker's current pipeline as follows:

Well, I hope you enjoy the images and we really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you, the team is very happy about your comments. It's really helping their motivation for the last 2 months.

But I still got some more stuff for you. The following images were created for the weapon of one the npc's. Our concepter used a weapon made by TDI as the main reference among other SMG's.

And at last some Enviroment Art done by multiple Artists. The station 'Jannowitzbrücke', the arc's below the tracks and some tires and piles of debris.

The goal for the Enviroment modelling and the Level Design will be to be familiar with the original enviroment but not an exact copy. So there'll be some imprecission in order to stylization, level design requirements and pipeline optimization.

Very professional presentation and love the concept art! Really nice to see the planning with the color palette, so many projects could benefit from that kind of planning.

Nice designs. Don't put the name of weapons in there though, apparently you get sued for it.

Well you've surely noticed the Sculpting from Marco above. Here's the Concept Documention for his attachments done by our Concept Artist Philipp Dege.

Well, although I'd miss the Enviromental Narrative (http://www.paranoidproductions.com/writings.html) lecture at the GDC 10 by Richard Rouse III. I was able to download his presentation, which I highly recommend to every team that is going to create a story driven single player.
To cut to the chase, here's our part in narrative enviroment. Although we do have a post-apocalyptic setting, there are still a few props left from the days before the blast.

The whole pipeline for this model was done by myself.

And finally some Animations done by Roman Ochsenfahrt for the Soul take over QTE. Please note, we're using the Rig of Denny Lindberg - customized by Roman - for our common NPCs (like Marco's). And the Model from the UDK (by Epic Games) for this video only, because our LowPoly Models aren't done yet. So, thanks to the guys from Epic.

And maybe, we're able to show you guys a little sneak preview of our current greybox at the end of the coming week.

Hi everyone,

we've just passed our second Milestone on wednesday. So there obviously wasn't enough time to add any updates earlier this week. But therefore we got plenty of images now. New or updated.

Hi everyone!

My name is David Lüscher, I'm the level designer on this project and I'll show you in the following video a short overview about what we have in the level at this time.

What you will see in this video:

The greybox level, including basic AI functions, our ghost mode and also the "Enemy take over mode", the 4 enemy types (with udk meshes as placeholders), our first particle effects and much more...

Please keep in mind, the most parts of the level are still in a greybox state and also the meshes are mostly placeholders or wip. The same with the GUI, Bot AI, Particles, Post Process and so on.

I hope you enjoy the video and stay tuned for the next walktrough video in a few weeks.

Hey! You haven't heard from us for a long time, so I want to show you guys, what we have done since June.

As you know this was a school project, and we had some months to finish it, and that date was at the beginning of august. Before that date we had so much to do, so we forgot to write here and after that date there were the GDC Europe and GamesCom 2010 and after that we had holidays... so again we forgot to write :D

So... If you want to play our game, visit our blog (address is below). You can also find more informations, render-screens and so on there. And last but not least there is a walkthrough video I made some days ago. The addresses are:

Last Exit @ Blogspot (http://lastexitthegame.blogspot.com/) (There you find the download-link)

Last Exit Level Walkthrough / Flythrough (http://www.youtube.com/user/Boesbart?feature=mhum#p/a/u/2/QVNLj6VmPmw)

Last Exit Greybox-Level Walkthrough (http://www.youtube.com/user/Boesbart?feature=mhum#p/u/5/qgpdMdrGil0) (Old verson from june)

By the way: The level version you see in the walkthrough is a bit newer then the one you can download and play. The reason for that is, that I'm still doing some stuff while I'm looking for a job (In Switzerland there are not so many Level Design / Game Design jobs). Most of the work is balancing or repositioning the bots (That's also the reason, why the bots in the video not always do what they should).

So I hope you like it!

Best regards,
David Lüscher
