Gam3roff - Well... I know, but when i check on forum profile, then i saw GMT +2. I was suprised, but i thought that it's maybe because we have switched for summer time, and that could be reason.

I guess I'm the only one who's not very impressed. I have mixed feelings towards this. It looks pretty good but it also looks like the type of game that will get boring quickly.

I'm pretty disapointed with those gameplay fragments
i thought that this game will have faster action. Sometimes even very slow... You know... When player used lash, then enemies are flying and falling like they were in some kind of jelly... I was convinced that lash will pull enemies extremely fast.
Overally i thought that game will be 20-50% faster. I should start to think about creating own mutator increasing speed of game :)

Was that really 10 minutes of game play footage? It almost looked like they just were looping the teaser trailer again and again.
It does look a bit slow, well it looks like I'll still not have a good new multiplayer game to play for a while.
Am I the only one waiting for the next quake/UT game?

No Roadkillgrill, you are not the only one who would like to see a game that re-invents DM (skillshots points applicated to dm would be nice, imo) but i think we have to wait the E3 to know something about the multiplayer. About the game speed i wouldn't care too much atm, in practice we have seen just a part of the campaign at ultra-easy difficulty i guess.

From what we've seen , it'll really depend on the extent of the use of immobilizing stun lock and silly annoying ground shake(or annoying jumping screen) . Most UT3 players that I know hate anything that immobilizes a player leaving them defenceless, even momentarily. Titan's stupid ground slam stun and ground shake, being an example of this in UT3.
If that leash really does lock someone in stasis (as it seems to) I guess, sadly, most wouldn't wanna play. I don't know any player who actually likes stun lock, of any kind, in any game tbh. It seems like the current dev fetish, like bloom was for a while, till players protested.
It's a simple concept really; players want to remain in control of their character at all times, anything that interferes with this, for me, is just a barrier between player and game.

Hey guys!
Just wanted to clarify something about the leash! The game is all about skillshots and toying with the enemy to execute very creative kills (such as kicking a trashcan over to a group of enemies and exploding it instead of shooting at the enemies to get 'enviro mental' skillshot points for killing whatever enemies are nearest to the explosion, and by finishing the ones off that didn't die, but are on fire, you get 'afterburner' skillpoints). We use a bit of a slowdown on the leash when you pull enemies towards you to give the player some time to consider how they want to toy with them in this way.
Keep in mind, we're still working on how much that slowdown should be, but hopefully that explains why it's important that it's there!

Well... This game isn't chess (i guess ), so time for decision shouldn't be too long. On ultra easy this difficulty is ok (it's not bad for casual players), but on hard or ultra hard difficulty imo speed of pulling should be doubled and slowdown on end should be removed (i mean without slowdown or that doubled speed). For me that slow speed is a bit anoying. I would prefer doing those 'pull and kick' seqence as fast as it is possible to not give enemies chances to hit me while i'm doing it. In both singleplayer and multiplayer game, because enemies will be aiming pretty well
When i saw trailer of bulletstorm i thought ' its craziness! it's so fast! It will be perfect muliplayer shooter!' . I thought that multiplayer of this game will crush modern warfare 2, because it (bulletstorm) will be more dynamic and require from players more than superextra aiming. Something what will require from player thinking very fast. Then all those skillshots have sense. When they are pretty hard to perform (it's not fun for hardcore player if every casual can perform most of all skillshots. Then there won't be any challenges for him)
Sorry for chaotic character of my expression, but it's hard to say exactly what i have on mind. I have a lot of individual thoughts which create image of bulletstorm in my mind. They are understandable for me, but hard to express in nice sentences (especially in foreign language).
I would like to deeper topic of dynamical and hardcore gameplay of game but then this post would be too long and impossible to understand ;)
Also sorry for going a bit offtopic and for all language mistakes i've made

uh okay the game might seem a bit slower than it should be but that footage made me wonder about something else too.
First, Painkiller wasn't so fast, at least nowhere near UT99 (UT2k4 being in the lightning fast tier)... but it compensated that lack of speedy pace with it's overwhelming enemy threat. Which is nowhere to be found in the video, sadly. So... slow, and without hordes of enemies viciously jumping at you trying to feed on your bowels? really?
Now, I didn't see any hud there. Well, there is that blue baloon thingy there indicating what I think its the level objective's distance. Fair enough... but where is the health points? ammo? I really, REALLY hope that this is only due to the footage being just a tech demo. Infinite ammo and regenerative health are already bad choices, combined it's just ridi... not cool. yeah.
And just to say that I didn't only bashed at the game, here's my compliments:
The kick and the slide are nice. The kick brings warm memories to PC players and may be the only heritage of Duke Nukem that we see in years (or maybe FOREVER? no pun intented). About the slide, I can see myself sliding like a retard around the boss for minutes just to see it trying to hit me and missing.
...and I would paint a big white U in my car if UT4 was announced in this E3.

I realy hope that u would be able to turn around very fast and shoot him in tha FACE..D:...that would be sooo cool....in your face mothaf......

I think that if there will be any multiplayer player vs player on the PC, the slowmotion thing should be completely removed or there should be at least the possibility for the admin of the server to set it on or off, otherwise after a few hours the game can be tedious.

You guys just worried too much.:D As a game developer I think technically they won't use that slow-motion thing in the multiplayer.
And what some of you really want, is another UT, not this game. :cool: Don't take me wrong, I want another UT too;)
