and wow, its awesome! First time I started I was blasted away by the graphics, everything looked so good and also the design! Every weapon and map is so well designed that even without much of a story ut has, it feels like a believable world. The campaign was a bit disappointing seeing how purposely made and a cg movie for it but leaving the actual campaign just a multiplayer version with bots.
But anyways, the multiplayer is AWESOME. There are so much maps and all of them play so differently. The only fps game I'm playing recently is modern warfare 2 but ut3 is so much better. This game is the most balanced game I ever played! Nothing is overpowered in this game(aside from vehicles) unless in the right hands.
It saddens me however that such good game is so overlooked while average games like mw2 are so popular. However thanks to the small community everyone seems to appreciate each other much more. Whenever I enter a game I greet everyone and I get greeted back. No one every bad mouth each other, no matter it's a win or lose, everyone seems to enjoy it.
I'm so glad I picked up this jewel I'm having a blast at.

Nice.
Well, sometimes players can get very aggressive when they lose, so don't be surprised or disappointed when you read some insults.
Anyway, it makes fun to play online.
I think it's a bit too early for you to say that nothing's overpowered.
Of course I don't want to say some things are overpowered, but I'm sure it's impossible to say this as a beginner ;)
If you have questions, just ask :)
It's nice that you play Warfare - it's the most complicated game mode in my opinion.
There are plenty of maps, vehicles and possibilities.
Cheers!

Awesome and welcome! :)
Glad you're enjoying UT3. I've been hooked on it since the demo days and still have a great time playing.
If you're in the mood for a Skull whoring Titan Spamfest, come give Greed a try! :D
Also, don't forget about the tons of custom content available for the game.

This is a game that has a value worth more than 60 dollars in my mind...The UT games are gems in my mind.

A lot of maps, yes compared to any other game outside the unreal series but i dont think there is that many much for a unreal game.

We also get to know and hate eachother a lot easier :D
No one every bad mouth each other, no matter it's a win or lose, everyone seems to enjoy it.
Sure you haven't been on instant action? :D
Yes we enjoy the game, but people are always moaning at eachother :P
hehe - i'm glad to see you also appreciate the game itself, like all of us, though.

I don't agree. Here's the big mapcount check:
UT2004: 121 (51 UT2003, 55 UT2004, 15 BP)
Unreal Tournament: 81 (50 release, 31 BP)
Unreal Tournament 3: 60 (41 release, 19 BP)
UT2003: 53 (37 release, 16 BP)
Unreal Championship 2 - The Liandri Conflict: 50
Unreal Championship: 34
Unreal: 23 (11 release, 6 BP, 6 RTNP)
Unreal II XMP: 8
You have to take into account, that making an UT3 map is much more effort than it was in UT times back in 1999. And UT2004 recycled nearly all of UT2003's map and sold quite some custom maps as "official" maps. So, it wouldn't be fair to compare UT3 to UT2004's full map count. I would say, UT3 with its 60 maps is holding quite well.
