Just got my Gameinformer!

So I just got my gameinformer with Bulletstorm on the cover. So far everything looks really cool. It looks like the guys is holding a hammerbusrt on the cover, lol.

I will give my final impressions after I read the whole article.

Here is an opening paragraph:

Epic Games, the mega developer responsible for the popular Gears of War and Unreal franchises, was blown away when it received a brief demo a few years back from People can Fly utilizing the Unreal Engine. It wasn't long before Epic bought a majority stake in the developer and opened the door for the team to craft a brand new franchise.

So I just read the article and I can for sure say that Bulletstorm is shaping up to be an "Epic" shooter that is very different that any game out there. The main thing that will create a difference between Bulletstorm and other games is the fact that just killing you enemies is not enough. What they are creating is a system in which youare awarded for each different type of "killshot" as they call it. So lets say you blas a guy in the head, +50 Headshot. One of my favorites that was mentioned is for shooting a guy in the nuts and the blasting them in the head after they drop to their knees, +100 Mercy.

As for the protaganists there are two main characters; Grayson Hunt (a former black op specialist turned drunk) and is friend Ishi Sato (a cyborg with little backstory). Grayson is a crude and somewhat sexist guy who is looking to exact revenge on his former commander because of some sort of transgression that has yet to be revealed. This is what the story line centers around.

Overall I think that this game looks really awesome and it has a entirely different kind of action that what any other game out there offers. I cannot wait to buy it and enjoy it.

Yeah. Sounds like an excellent shooter. Thanks so much for bringing joy into my gaming life again with the announcement of both Bulletstorm and Gears of War 3, EPIC! I've honestly felt like I wasn't a gamer anymore since I barely play anything besides my DS nowadays (and even then, it's only when I'm really bored). I tried playing Modern Warfare 2, but meh. Too many people taking that game way too seriously, for my liking. I got scolded and was called a n00b for not knowing what the perks were. o.O The community is really horrible.

Heh. Doesn't surprise me, but his attitude is kind of stereotypical from what I've read. Of course, we're going to explore more of Grayson Hunt in the coming months, but as of right now? He sounds like a more aggressive Baird.

From what I've read, Grayson starts out as a brute and drunk in that charming kinda way, but then changes throughout the story.

I think it would be cool if Grayson were a sort of anti-hero type figure. A take-no-prisoners badass guy. That persona would fit with the general idea of this game imo.

I just picked this up yesterday and it sounds like it will be a great game, and I love the cover art lots of great detail, and for the record I think the hair is fine. ;)
