When I import my mesh for some reason it always comes into udk at a wierd angle. Ive tried putting it in other positions in maya but for some reason it never works :(! if anyone knows how i can fix this it would be rly great!

Make sure you press the Ref button in the preview editor, sometimes your mesh tends to be rotated by the default animations and the Ref button is a good way to see the mesh in its imported pose. I've seen that confuse a lot of people before. :p

EDIT: i found it but when i click it i cant see the animations any more

That's the point, when you click it you disable all animations so you know that your mesh is properly imported. If it looks right without animation, but wrong with your animations, that's where the problem lies which you should start to troubleshoot.

Its strange...the ref pose is fine along with several of the animations but for some reason some of the key animations(idle ones walking ect) are above the grid and on a tilt :(!
