Hey guys, I'm looking for talented individuals to join me in getting a working gametype mechanic that is a Hybrid FPS-RTS. I am an artist with minimal unrealscript knowledge but i do want to learn.
In a post Apocalyptic Near-Future setting. Some cool things I would like would be for units to be able to lay mines, setup machine gun posts and construct walls and barbed wire. Also for the player to be able to call in aerial combat droids to assist in battle.
I want the focus to be on micromanagement and squad tactics RTS as opposed to tower defence or base building.

For an alpha version it would be cool to have the ability to call in reinforce ments, 3 capture points on the battle field to defend and a timer that calls the Points winner after 20mins. For alpha it would be cool to have an mg unit (a bot with a "deployable" pulse rifle that fires 5 times faster that will crouch and can only turn 180 degrees when deployed), a medic (a bot that heals you) and a footsoldier (a bot with a shock rifle).
the weapons and models can be updated later, lets get the mechanic working.
The alpha version doesn't need any new art or anything, I just want to find a working game mechanic that we can throw a bunch of cool art over the top to make it look cool.
I'm a big fan games like battlezone, syndicate wars, dues ex, system shock and killzone.
I would like to make this MOD as open as possible allowing all members to use content they've created in other mods and post updates on this forum about how they completed their pieces if they wish.
Right now I'm interested in anyone whos interested, I'm an artist, if your an artist and would like to help send me a message and we'll make some concepts together, if your a level designer or unreal scripter then that's really cool to, if you've made something we can use to test out some fps-rts mechanics so that we can get a playable alpha that'd be great!
