Forgive me if I am infringing on a previously posted or thought of game type.
My Idea:
I will call the game type Infected for now.
5 v 5
Each team has an Annex/KOTH type counter.
Infinite respawn @ 15 sec intervals.
Game starts with the team trying to get the first kill.
The person with the first kill in the game becomes ""infected"".
The person with the infected status has 2 minutes to kill an opposing team member. If they kill someone, their timer resets to the 2 min mark but is reduced by 15 seconds each time a kill is recorded, down to the lowest of minimum of 30 secs. Each kill they get earns their team a point. It only counts as a valid kill if the infected person does it by themselves (eg can't take others downs), but it can be by any means and the other team can assist in damaging the opponent.
That person loses the infected status if their timer runs out or if they are killed by an opposing team member. The person who kills that infected person now becomes infected or If the timer runs out for the infected person, the person on the opposite team with the most points gains the infected status.
The Match is ended once the team reaches a certain point level.
Think Guardian, but there is only one leader at a time and they are forced to get kills to gain their team points. How the team works together to help them get kills or protects them is up to them.
Another idea or subsitution would be instead of having the infected person get kills to earn points, they team just earns points for every 15 secs a person on thier team has the infected status and it is only lost by being killed by the opposite team.
Its a kind of rough idea but i think the concept its cool. Let me know if you like this idea or anything you would suggest to improve it or make it more enjoyable.
