Different host, different bullet damage

Hello to all,

I noticed something about hosting and the bullet damage. Let me explain:
Often I play with a friend, sometime he host, sometime I do.
However, there seems to be a difference between the amount of damage he does per hb bullet on his host and the damage i do with the same bullet on my host.
He sais it only takes him 3 (!) triggers with the hb to down, and I can clearly see thats true. It takes him about 1.5 secs, and he is not aiming for the head.
On my host, it certainly takes longer for me to down someone.

How is this possible?
Since when has bullet damage something to do with being host or not. Cant be cause of lag. Lag only makes it harder to hit a target. And on my host I am not able to down someone that fast.

Can someone explain this?

The amount of damage a bullet deals is the same on ANY connection - Even in a 5sec lag game, you still 1 shot them. It's different connections speeds that process that information quicker / slower and hit detection that creates the feeling that you deal more or less damage. Don't confuse lag with bullet damage.

you cannot down someone with 3 hammerburst bullets. It's not possible.

I mean, When i host he also got ahost like connection, yet he doesnt down people as fast as on his host. He even sais that this is bull****. He sais it takes zero effort.

His shots arent as accurate off host and with him shooting the HB as fast as he is, it is very hard to control. Tell him to turn the vibration off on his controller.
It wont help much but it does make it easier to aim.

No its not. Each pull is a bullet, or you can hold it for a slow rate of fire.

you can see it clearly when you hold the trigger. One bullet a time.

DJ I think it hits out 2 bullets in 1 shot when you hold down the LT rather then jam it.

You are correct.

The ammo counter clearly shows 1 shot fired per-trigger pull. The bullet-graphic under the weapon doesn't accuratly represent the shots you are firing. Following that graphic the Lancer can be seen to occasionally fire 2 or 3 shots per-trigger pull and single shot depleted on the number counter.

The gorgon uses the same clip as the hammerburst.
