I just watched the Jeremy Ernst training videos and in the SkeletalMeshes Video he mentioned the Additive Skeleton button.

So my question is, what are Additive Skeletons? Are they ment for things like cloth or hair bones, or are they actually for secondery animation where, for example, the character do a walkcycle and the upper body doing another animation?

If so, do i need a identical copy of the whole bone chain or is it enough to just have, lets say, the upper body bones?

And for the mirror tables. Are they working this way that i only have to animate, for example, the right strafe animation and UDK will do the left one for me?

And if i have an additive skeleton, do i have to mirror table and do the physical assets for them too?
