Where did you get 41 from, that seems strangely specific.

Your question makes no sense. You don't have a set ping, it depends on what you are pinging. The further away it is, the longer the ping.

i did the test with eangland cause the most of the time i play with poeple from london and i live in berlin and speedtest said 41 ping

41ms form Berlin to UK is about average. No reason for concern there.

actually YES and i thought its me than i made a test

Maybe it isn't a ping problem, but a problem with the netcode handling players from diff. countries in general?

That's kind of normal though. Well, not half a second, but there is always a very small delay when playing off host. The delay gets worst depending on how much latency you have to the host.

Also, yes you are right. A ping is two computers effectively saying hello to each other. The latency is the time it takes for the message to get to and then return to your machine. The further away, the longer the latency.

You could have one game where somebody from your town is host and have a real great connection, and the next game somebody halfway across the world is host and your connection. For example in the first you could ping 41, and in the second 439... All depends on location and isn't a set nr.

I believe not downloading anything while playing might help? Not sure if this only goes for host though.

Not much you can do really apart form obvious things like making sure no one else is using your connection when you play.

Also having it hard wired is best, don't use wireless as it just adds latency.

A ping of 41 is pretty dam good compared to the 2000 or so I sometimes get stuck with in MM:(

Yeah maybe so but that does not mean that is your ping to the host you were connected to,for example in gears of war for window's you can check your ping connection while playing the game even if you are host but it will read 0 if your host,so as far as i know neither gears 1 or gears 2 have that function to check it while playing.
