Finalists will have until November 13, 2009 11:59:59 p.m. U.S. EST to make updates, improvements and modifications they choose to their existing Submission. On or about November 20, 2009, a panel of qualified judges will review and score the Finalist Submissions using the criteria listed in these Official Rules. The Submission receiving the highest overall score across categories will be selected as Grand Prize winner ("Selected Contestant"). The Selected Contestant's Submission will be highlighted on the official contest web site.

Selected Contestant will be notified on or about December 1, 2009.

We're still awaiting results for Phase 4, so it will most likely take some more time. But i hope they announce the grand finals winner before the end of the year.

Yeah, I almost can't stand the suspense either. An ETA on when we have the results would be nice, even if it's just a soft one.

Waiting for the phase 4 results seems much longer this time around.
Maybe its because they announced half of the finalist categories then stopped abruptly for the UDK. Whatever the reason, it is taking much longer than I expected anyway.
I rather not poke them into making rash judgments though.

Yeah, I agree. All the teams put in so much hard work, hopefully they're taking the time to notice the details :)

Does anyone know if they plan to announce all the winners at once? If so, it might make sense if a couple categories are taking longer to judge than others. Still, it would be nice to at least have an estimation of when the announcements will be made so we don't have to keep checking back every day :p (or am I the only one who does that? o.o)

Still missing 3 categories too... At this rate I can see the results of the grand finals come in March for the GDC perhaps?
