I read a thread today with some guy talking about playing GOW at E3 and he said he was having a real problem with the controls, he was either shooting his feet or firing into the sky. He also said a few other people trying the demo were having the same problem, I hope this isnt true.

i doubt its ture because its just like any other gun game (the shooting i mean) you just aim and click.

maybe those people were not used to the controller setting/sensitivity
e.g. invert

Yeah, and that's easily adjustable and if there was a bug they will fix it.

A few people wanted the inversion different from defaults, but once we showed them how to change it they were fine. In the prison level when Dom holds the torch up to you at the beginning, that's to figure out which way you want it!

just me Gow's controls will flow like a river, they are perfect,

A=cover/context sensitive
B=melee(hold for chainsaw)
X=revive
RB=reload
LB=?????
Y="point of interest"
RT=fire
LT=go into "aim mode"

It'll be fixed and I think its more of a personal problem rather than a game problem

Don't worry, it is a just demo. It will be fix by Epic and they should test the game before it comes out.

that is why they do pre-release testing to make sure their are no bugs

lets just hope this isn't a big bug or it might delay the release date:(
look at halo 2 it was delayed for what seemed forever.
i doubt that it is even a bug the guy at the demo was probably a scrub.

I'd switch reload and revive:)

Reload on the X...feels better to me.

LB could = grenade throw

ya X needs to reload RB would feel weird

LB default= squad status or look towards closest teammate.

I think for throwing grenades you just switch to grenades and still press the RT to throw them. You aim them with the aim stick.

It would be cool to have a single button devoted to grenades but I think the game wants us to actually physically switch to grenades rather than just have a button that throws them without actually switching to them.

I'm going to have to get used to the D-pad if the weapons are going to be restricted to it. So far, every game that has ever had weapons on the d-pad I have always switched them to the face buttons because it was very uncomfortable. Maybe with Gears it will be diff, but it will take some getting used to. I prefer more of a classic control set where Y cycles weapons and X reloads, B does a melee, A does the action. The right and left bumpers could be revive and squad status.
