Tried again to play some Greed tonight. All the good players stacked up on one team. The score was like 300-12. Is there such a thing as a fair fight in UT?

This can happen to any game.
I don't see any relation to UT3.
It depends on the players, not on the game or the game mode.
Cheers!

Definitely right. It does depend on the players. I know which ones to avoid. :/

Really good players usually don't wanna play on such a good team , they switch to the inferior team.

This happens on certain servers more than others and almost always happens with certain players and or clan members.
If it's an official server, just disconnect until the match is over and reconnect after the new match starts. This is how you fix it if there is no "team fix" mutator installed.
When it's not an official server, just vote with your feet and disconnect from that server, then do not join that server again. Let the stackers play by themselves on their server.

I find that when teams are heavily stacked and I'm at the top of the winning team, players on the losing team are usually unwilling to accept (or unaware of?) my offers to switch teams.

I love the justice mod, others do not, I know, but it's the best thing we have (the previous games score one, not the elo one, IMO). Stacking is tough because as people join and leave things change, so it's hard to get it straight... and yeah, when you offer to change teams, usually only the higher scorers on the other team are aware of it. There are people who are friends that want to be on the same team, but I never did that, because I would be on vent with them, so who cares about what team you're on? I will try to switch, but sometimes it doesn't help, or it unbalances the teams the other way (due to other factors, not cause I'm so good. Wah). I usually just suck it up for a game or two, It usually works out by then. If it keeps up..... I leave! Cheers!
