To every one in this forum
How do you?
I just downloaded UDK today.
I have been using Unreal Editor in UT3 up to now.
Would you please tell me what kind of benfit I can obtain when I use UDK rather than Unreal Editor in UT3?
I know that some people are trying to make a game like GOW using Unreal Editor in UT3.
However, there are several limitations when we use Unreal Editor in UT3 rather than the Unreal Editor in GOW itself.
Can I make an assault type game like GOW using UDK?
Sincerely yours

I don't use "Unreal Editor" in UT3 or GOW, But as far as I know Unreal Editor that ships with that games is only to making mods, But with UDK you can make your own standalone games.

I think there is less limitations on UDK than UT3 or GOW. Only one is that you cannot import unreal or GOW art. And you can make assault game like gow, it is just terrible lot of work to do.

UDK has a bunch of new engine features over UT3 as well.

Thank you for your replies.
I compared actor classes in UDK and Unreal Editor in UT3 today.
I found that UDK has less actors than Unreal Editor in UT3.
I hope that UDK will have more actors in near future.
Sincerely yours.

Some actors got merged and others got removed because they are now useless.

Well of course UT3 has more actors - it is a complete game. UDK is a release of the engine UT3 was made with, with a demo game attached to it. What do you want, Epic to create your game for you, then you can just put the pieces together?
