Same here, but it was said earlier in a post its high priority for them to make it, however, could not say a timeframe.

Did mention we should keep an eye on http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ActorX.html

Search is your buddy, you could just have bumped the other thread :)

ps: old thread http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=706610

ActorX for Maya 2010 will be included in the next version of UDK. If you need it earlier you can download it from the UE2 ActorX page on UDN (http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ActorX.html).

yes, it seems it was linked to http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ActorX.html

I tryed http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/rsrc/Two/ActorX/ActorX_246_Maya2010_64bit.zip but it just gave a 404 error

Is the plugin available in the beta2 release?

Yeah, well, guess it will be another weekend staring at tutorials (you always learn something new it seems) :)

Have to create alot of particles, textures, speed tree's ect anyways so :)

Helloooooo ...

So is anyone from epic gonna tell us why the 32 bit and not 64 bit is download able from the site ? ;)

Or did i miss the information somewhere ?!?

Why does it take so much to fix a link that was immediately reported as broken?...
Now that the weekend came it will take even more.

Well, its free so i wont complain about it not being there..

Some information would have been nice though as to why, but i guess it will be fixed in due time..

LE: i doubt that we'll see the plug-in before the next beta. what i don't get is what's with the freekin' silence?!

strange thing. the link for the x64 version works sometimes and not others. so i managed to dl it, but its not the proper format for a maya plugin. its a ".dlu", what format is that? and if this is a new plugin format for Maya how do we get it to install bc right now Maya is not recognizing it.

thanx guys!

Have you tried collada?

Man im behind on my project :[

Install Maya2010 32bit until the 64bit plugin is linked....The Maya 2010 license is the same for 32bit and 64bit versions. I can't see how you can be behind just because you can't use the 64bit version.

We could use 32bit, or even collada, but the situation is still embarrassing...

Concur.

But i guess i'd have to setup 2 workspaces just because i want to export my models -.-

I don't really see what the big deal is...I always install the 32bit and 64bit versions of my 3D apps... for the exact same reasons that have occurred with the ActorX plugin. If you own 3DSMAX you'll soon see that a lot of plugins are not compatible with 64bit (although it's getting better) ...not sure about plugin support for Maya...there doesn't seem to be as many.

In their Mastering Unreal Technology series, the 3DBuzz guys recommend Collada (https://collada.org/mediawiki/index.php/COLLADA_-_Digital_Asset_and_FX_Exchange_Schema) for all that. I'm trying to use it but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to be doing. xD

really? it would work on Maya 2010 64 bit on a 64 bit Vista machine?

i'll give it a try :)
