View Full Version : How good is UDK at hiding/showing stuff?

I am making a game where most buildings are enterable. So will UE be able to not render insides of buildings when player is not in? I mean, not one or two. Like 10 or so buildings in view? Or would that kill my fps? I was thinking of making glass reflect fakely so player doesn't see what's inside unless very close to the window.

You can make a level for each house and add a streaming volume around each of them. A recommendation would be that if memory allows to, stream in all the levels on startup and only toggle visibility when you get close.
