RT-Visualization

Hi all,
Well, having this engine for free is quite amazing! I was looking for something like that to start what I have in mind...
First of all, I'll use Unreal Engine basically for Architectural Visualization, I already downloaded most of the basica tutorials on 3d buzz ( really well done btw ) and I'm practicing a bit with the engine, but I would like to ask you some questions, basically because I need a good workflow to see what this engine is capable of and, of course, to do it in a proper way.
Lets start:
- I use Softimage ( XSI ) and Epic did a very good job to do an exporter for this software, infact I can export .ase meshes and inport them into the engine...my question is, since I have a really big scene, if I can, for example, import all mesh at once and, once into the engine, the will load not together but separately, so I can work with them...unfortunately my architectural scene crash if I try to save everything in .ase at once
- I just exported one mesh with proper UV, and I noticed that, if I try to apply a material, it will apply the material only on the selected face and not on the mesh...well, what I need is to apply the material to the entire mesh, is it possible to do something like that?
- I didn't try to work with materials, but is possible to have some kind of reflections in realtime? does the engine support mirrors?
- Basically all the geometry will be created within XSI and then exported, can you give me some advice/tricks to have proper meshes into the engine and be able to work with them? just some kind of overall advices to start with...
Thanks
Nicolas
