View Full Version : UDK crashes my computer - fixed

Hi all,
the UDK installs fine but whenever I try to run the editor or launch a game it starts loading then restarts my computer without an error message

Might help if you posted your system specs. then people might know about a specific error with your hardware

Ok, here it is, my video card isn't a VisionTek Radeon HD 2600 XT AGP, it is a Ati radeon HD 3600 series card, for some reason the normal updated ATI driver installer didn't recognize it so I had to use the ATI AGP hotfix installer, which installed the drivers for the HD 2600


-CPU Intel Pentium 4 2.6 Ghz
-RAM 2048 Mb
-VIDEO 512 Mb
-OS XP home edition

I'm going to try re-installing windows and the video card driver.

Yeah, if you can try a fresh install that would be good.
then manually go to the website and find the correct driver for your card. also try a quick search of google for your GFX card and 'Unreal Editor' something might pop up where someone else has had the same problem.
Try downloading a fresh copy of UDK too, the version you have might accidently have been corrupted on download/install
