I'm adding a core to a static mesh and getting this error "The selected static mesh can't be used as a fracture core because its source geometry has been stripped out"
Any ideas what this means?

I'm guessing it has something to do with cooked content. When a package gets cooked, the original source asset gets stripped out of the package and only the content used by the engine in the game remains. I would assume if you imported your own static mesh, you would be able to use that as a core for a fractured static mesh without seeing that error.
