Hey everybody,
As gamers, to a degree we all understand the importance of intelligent audio design for a dramatic gameplay experience. So it's surprising how few mods utilize one of the most important visceral/emotional tools at their dispense. Audio will make or break your immersive experience, it will tell your players where the danger is, it will make your speaking characters human.

After the coming MSUC deadline, I'm going to put together two documents: One for audio designers about working with the Unreal Engine, and one for modders about working with audio designers, and what to think about when designing their game for sound.

So modders, now is the time for you to speak up and ask questions to be answered in depth. I want to know all your negative audio experiences, and I want to hear what about game audio perplexes or interests you.

Sound Designers and Composers (I know you're out there!) - I need your help. If you've had success in Unreal or otherwise, and feel you have wisdom to share with other interactive audio modders, let's talk. Equally, if you've had frequent negative experiences that need to be rectified, let's do some rectifying.

Peace,
-Robin Arnott (Steam Racers)
