Just sharing a speed tree sort of tutorial on my blog. It just cover basic since the tool is really easy to catch up.

I'm going to do a sort of series for outdoor scenery. The main point is to just allow starter to do basic stuff and then tweak and discover by themselves.

the speed tree modeler just crashes on my pc though

have you tried to switch off the shadow ? Or does it crash right at the beginning ?It's quite demanding so maybe if you just stick to lit display mode It'll work.
